Those long summer days are looming ahead, and we’d like to recommend you reserve a museum pass from the Library’s website, hhhlibrary.org. These passes provide free admission to some of the area’s most popular museums. Visit the American Museum of Natural History for the famous dinosaurs and dioramas, or the Children’s museums of Manhattan or Long Island. If it’s a beautiful summer day you can be on the Intrepid and learning in the Sea, Air, and Space museum. The Firefighter’s Museum, the Whaling Museum, and the Old Westbury Gardens are some other choices too.
The Library’s mission is to encourage life-long learning, and that means school vacation learning too! These passes provide free admission to some of the area’s most popular museums. All you need to reserve a pass is your valid Adult HHH library card.
To access the databases your child needs for homework, you will need a valid library card. Apply for a youth card online, if you don’t already have one. Remember, you must come into the library to sign the form and give permission for your child or teen to use the Internet in the library.
The summer reading club goes online this year. Join, and even report, from anywhere there’s an internet connection. On vacation? At camp? By the pool? No problem!
