On Friday, May 11th, the Suffolk Cooperative Library System Outreach Services Department is holding SEE FOR YOURSELF 2012: An Assistive Technology and Resource Fair for People who are Blind or Visually Impaired, from 10 am to 4 pm in the Auditorium. The fair, which has attracted over 300 visitors in the past, is open to the public. For more information, please email outreach@suffolk.lib.ny.us .

At our Dix Hills building, visually and learning disabled patrons may use our:
- ZoomText-equipped Internet and word processing computer that magnifies and speaks
- Upgraded Merlin magnifier/reader
- Kurzweil Reader for magnification of reading materials
- Listening Station for CD’s and audiocassettes that plays music or audiobooks (Please bring your own headphones)
