Follow the code

You may notice some strange looking square graphics in the book stacks near Careers, Genealogy, Long Island History, and Travel in the Dix Hills building.  These are data matrix codes.  They allow anyone with a camera and the right application on their mobile phones to take a picture of the code, send it through the Internet, and land on the appropriate Suffolkweb Topic Guide for more information.  For example, if someone uses their phone application on the datamatrix posted by the books on Genealogy, they will be directed here:
http://suffolktopicguides.org/content.php?pid=31357.  There they can find useful links, book suggestions, getting started guides, and other electronic resources.
