A new CD/audiocassette player is now located in the Adult Services Department, near the Reference Desk. You can enjoy listening to music or audio books, while visiting the library. If you would like to listen to library audio-materials, you will need to check them out first. Bring your own headphones, or purchase a set at the Circulation Desk for $1.00. The equipment is easy to use, and librarians are always here to assist you.

Attend Berkeley for free
October 10, 2007
The University of California at Berkeley has its own page at Youtube where you can attend classes virtually. The top three most popular courses are SIMS 141 – Search, Google, and Life: Sergey Brin – Google, Physics 10 – Lecture 01: Atoms and Heat (part of the “Physics for Presidents” series), and Integrative Biology 131 – Lecture 01: Organization of Body. Imagine attending lectures in the comfort of your home and at the time convenient for you (don’t forget you can pause, too.) Each video allows for comments – some are funny and some astute. One day we’ll all be earning our degrees like this.
